About Me
Hi, I'm Brett. I recently turned 35. I have called Portland, Oregon home for 13 years and was born in a college town 90 miles away. I have spent 91.42% of my life in the region many local like to call Cascadia. I enjoy a social, active life in the city I (mostly) love (if it weren't for those damn Californians and the dark, wet winters...). I have a BA in history and an MBA in Sustainable business. Miraculously for someone with such unemployable credentials, I have achieved a modicum of professional success and most recently enjoyed a rewarding job managing a team building analytics tools for an energy efficiency consulting company. I'm recently divorced.
I've decided to take about six months away from the workforce to travel and experience more of the world in part to figure out what to do next in life. I'm calling this break brettsbattical. I'll be doing my best to stay up to date sharing my adventures and experiences on this blog/internet page/whatever the kids call it these days.
